rcbs trim mate

I just received my rcbs trim mate today. When I turn it upside down I can hear something rattling on the inside. Is this normal?

Does it work fine? My 20 something year old trim mate rattles, squeaks and growls, has since day one but it hasn't stopped working in all these years and who knows how many 1000's of cases.

Talked to Rcbs rep. today, he said not normal for being new and to send it back for repair or replacement.
