So, people who know me know I like to exercise my red neck ingenuity occasionally. This was a chair I picked up a few of last year on sale at Walmart. $20 each. They work great for going to grandkids soccer games this fall. But we had an extra, so I decided to re-purpose it for deer hunting.
I've got a total of about $43 in it counting the brown spray paint I used to soften shine of the burgundy fabric.
$20 for the chair
$15 for the camouflage
$4 can of paint
Tax and a couple zip ties.

Still fits in the carry bag too, might try it out next weekend 😁

Tell ya what, that HAS TO BE BETTER than sitting my ol stove up rear end on tha cold and / or wet ground beside a tree...good idea.👍
Yes it is! I tried it out this morning. A doe did wind me, but she didn't see me, didn't blow, just turned and ran off. Wind was pretty stiff this morning.

Noty quite like that, but I have added camo, not that is has to be, burlap to my tree stand rails for coverage. Similar, more coverage. The burlap has some weight so it hangs. The stuff like a screen might be to light if left to move

Yep done the same thing. Found those pre-packaged rolls of camo burlap they sell at Wallyworld or Academy work well. Just add zip ties and a stand.

But ya gotta admit Hugger done good. He can wander round in tha woods with his an set up in minutes where with a tree stand your kinda limited to where ya initially put it up.

I've got a couple chairs that are compact an swivel I can carry around. I use them primarily to make a quick hide when I'm bow hunting. Not nearly as nice a sit as one of those type chairs but better than on tha ground.

I thought the same thing but it actually hangs very well and lasts longer than burlap. No shooters so far this morning. After this weekend I'll take a cull and put a Doe or two in the freezer. 20241129_084921.jpg

Probably the coolest thing I’ve seen in a very long time! Well done!

If it looks stupid but works, it ain't stupid.
Lol, I don't know what the deer think it looks like. But if it keeps me from lagging a pop up blind and a chair along with my rifle and back pack when I try a new spot, it works for me!🙂
