Rebarreling a Boltgun to 6.8 SPC

After handling several 7.62x39 and .223 rifles built on Mini-Mauser actions, would it be possible to have a CZ 527 or Remington 799 rebarreled to 6.8 SPC?
I would usually take a .243 over the 6.8 but as far as I know you can't fit a .308 length case into such an action. It seems it would be a very handy yet practical gun to use on whitetails to moderate ranges. In addition, I think the 6.8 is a superior cartrige to the 7.62x39 for deer. Whether this justifies the cost of a new barrel (and bolt head?), we shall see

I certainly understand the appeal of the Mini Mauser, despite some possible issues like scope clearance.

However, I think the cost of a new bolt head (custom-machined, I think) and a new barrel would be prohibitive compared to this:

Ruger offers a CRF action in a compact, light rifle, in 6.8, but also in 7mm-08 and .243.

Of the actions you mention you'll have to start with a .223 and have the bolt face machined out to spc size as a x39 is a goodly bit too large

none of the mini mausers feature a swappable bolt head like a savage

That sounds like a cool gun. The only appeal to me would be something different really. I've seen the Ruger compact but I guess its not as compact as it could be. For probably a lot less money and a very similar package would be a lightweight .243 but thats just not as fun.
