Recoil Differences Between Ball and Slug

Will there be a noticeable recoil difference between shooting a patched round ball, ~188 grains weight, shot with 90 grns. of FFFg black powder, and a Minnie ball, ~ 375 grains weight, same powder load?

Yes. One of the factors of recoil is the weight of the ejecta; since the Minie ball weighs almost 200grs. more than the round ball, you can expect more recoil from the load firing the Minie ball.

When they are used projectiles very large is advisable to make a load of gunpowder lighter not to create overpressure.
