Greetings, I am purchasing two rifles for my parents as a retirement gift, for them to shoot at their summer cottage they bought for their golden years. I was thinking to get just a quality Pelican case, but a friend suggested giving it more personality and getting them some modern quality cases that look classic, like a convincing artificial leather that's waterproof and seals tight with a good lock, and maybe even monogram their initials on it in some durable gilt.

Can anyone recommend a good case for my mother's compact Mannlicher .22 rifle and my father's modern Winchester .45 Colt? Ideally I'd like the same brand for the two sizes, but maybe different colors of faux-leather, and to have the same shop do the monograms so they have a semi-matching set.

It'd be great if the same company also offers pistol cases for my father's old Ruger Single Six (a gift from his father-in-law when he got engaged) and for my planned purchase of a Remington 1863 black-powder pocket revolver and a .32 S&W conversion cylinder for it.

Jeff's outfitters is the only thing I could find they make old school steamer style gun cases in a bunch of different configurations but I'm fairly sure it's all real leather and unfortunately no pistol hard cases on their site

Gazalan offers plastic fitted (and adjustable) cases that can be had with leatherette covering. Total effect is strong resemblance to traditional oak-and-leather cases while being significantly more durable and secure. They also offer the real mccoy for a great deal of money.

Hope this helps.

".......artificial leather that's waterproof and seals tight...."

Those kind also seal in moisture and if gun is stored for more than a couple days can then be RUSTED.
Ask me how I know...

I used comething that breathes and NO foam padding. BOYTs are esp good.
