Refurbished FN MK 2 Hi-Powers?

I don't know much about Hi-Powers. Anyone got any thoughts or input on these?

Good guns and will make good shooters but they one can assume that they were rough looking before the refinish. There was a time when the Israeli trade ins came in LNIB to fair condition. These days more and more of the are in the Good to Fair condition. Most of the wear is finish wear. They were carried by the Israel Defense Forces. They were carried a lot but not shot a ton.

Personally I think $579 is a bit high but the market has been going up as the supply dries out. AIM stands behind their guns.

The first thing to know about Hi Powers is, you need one.

Not a great bargain compared to what AIM sold them for in the past. Not bad either when you consider the fact that you are buying metal.

I don't like the quality of the refinish work. I'd rather save money and buy one that has not been refinished and send the gun to somewhere I trust to do a proper refinish job. That's just my opinion though.

Not bad if you like hi powers, esp. with the low-pro sights.

seems(and i dont know just badly speculating) aim started doing this with a batch of hi powers that were in terrible cosmetic shape. they had a batch that werent selling and kept sending emails out and then all of a sudden those all disappeared one day and these refinished ones popped up much later.

i feel the refinish is poorly done and the value for the price isnt that great....but it is refinished and it is a hi power and so maybe its worth it to you.

Wow. Looks like used HPs have taken a big step up in price. Personally, I would get a MK III unless you want an earlier gun for some sort of collector reason.
