Does anyone reload the 280 remington using a 175gr Spitzer type bullet and have the data? I would like to experiement with that weight but want to use H4895 powder.

jr45: I just searched the Hodgdon website for loading information for your 175 gr bullet in the 280 Rem. Unfortunately Hodgdon does not show that powder use for your bullet weight. Perhaps H4895 is a tad to slow for that heavy bullet weight. H4895 is shown for the 160 gr bullets however. I suggest you check the Hodgdon website for their recommended loads for your bullet. Good shooting. :)

Actually it's WAY too fast for heavier bullets.

H4831, RX-19, RX22 IMR 7828 is what you want to look for to use with those heavy bullets.

H-4895 is too fast burning for optimal use in the 280 Rem with heavy bullets. IMO, the 160 gr. bullets are much better suited for the 280 anyways, especially when used with slower powders like H-4350 or 4831. Just check the manuals.
