Reloading Store

Uh oh, I will apparently be driving to Daytona tomorrow. Much closer drive. I thought that guy in Daytona had gone out of business ... or someone at a show told me he had. The problem is, some of these people don't have websites and even when they do, they don't know how to get indexed by Google or any of the other search engines.
There's this thing we used to use called a telephone. On the wall, crank it a couple times, ask Sarah the operator for assistance. Or, try Google maps. Businesses often are shown by name. Then getting phone number is piece of cake...just call Sarah.

Ya, and also wait for the teenage girl down the road to get off the phone so you can crank up Sarah

I'd like the 4166 and H4895. Price be darned
4166 has been discontinued for nearly 2-1/2 years.
I’m surprised he has any.
I don’t know what you’re using it for but I haven’t found any loadings that give better results than Varget.
I went through 2 lbs trying to beat Varget with no luck.
I still have nearly 6 lbs of it. Trying it out in 6BR to see if it does well.

I don’t see any IMR 8208 XBR

I got quite fond of the copper reducing powders and like the smell when using my shooting shack. Especially with my LAR8 addiction. 1/2 lb left . 308 is as stupid easy to load as 38sp is.
I have plenty of Varget, Precision, 30 31, lmr 4895, , 748, Tactical Rifle, and some H4895. But I'd keep using 4166
I also miss 4451. I kept an Axis 243 that shoots better that a savage heavy barrel I had that wasn't cheep. So good in 243.

Well, you're in luck. The Hodgdon rep at the SHOT show said they were bringing back the Enduron line ... maybe later this year. I think there's a clip of it on Youtube somewhere.

I did the drive to Daytona. Very few powders. But he has a shop full of brass, bullets, and equipment ... all brands. There was an APS bench priming tool still in the box. There were even bags of 25ACP brass and bullets (jacketed) in there. I must have talked to the guy for 2 hours. Then I stopped by Bucee's and grabbed lunch. That place is crazy.

He's got a really nice stash of old primers and powder in a case. Apparently what happens is, old reloaders retire to Florida from up north and then they run out of steam and get out of the hobby (or die). And shops like this end up buying their stash (from the widow sometimes).

Next week I'm driving down to West Palm. There's supposed to be a guy down there that had a shop and supplied one of the ammo makers down in South Florida. Word is, he sells out of his house now and he has a huge stash of stuff.

It's amazing what I'll do just to find a can of Alliant Steel somewhere.

Love this shop, but my burning rate order of 'fastest' on the left OCD is 'triggered' here- AA 2, AA 5, AA 7... IMR 4227, 4198, 3031... I can't be the only one?... Can I?
Yeah, I try to keep the order in my cabinet from fastest on the left as well. I think the wife organizes the powders though and I'm not sure she's cognizant of the the order.

Just when I thought reloading was dead. There's almost nothing at the guns shows these days. Then I talked to an old timer and he said there was a store for reloading in St. Augustine. I thought ... no way. There's no chance someone has a store dedicated to reloading anymore. It was a 50 minute drive for me. Jackpot ...
I must be blind, but I couldn't find the name or address of the store in this thread, and St Augustine is 1/2 hour away from me.

Here you go ... 1054 SR-206 E, St. Augustine, FL. 32086. Website is ACME Reloading Supply with a BBQ joint, Smokin' D's just down the street. The turkey was really good.

St Augustine is where we went for our honeymoon 10yrs ago. I'm suddenly thinking it would be perfect for our 10yr anniversary!

Do you remember the name of the store?
