Hey all, just wondering if the limbsaver pad on my factory 700 sps is the one that reduces recoil by 50% or if it is a cheaper version with the limbsaver name. I'll need all the help I can get with that 300 ultra. Thanks in advance.

Well I just got the same model in stainless 270 and it has a Remington R3 recoil pad. They are all suppose to have the R3 recoil pad unless someone took it off and put it a different one on. I probably didn't help, but thats all I know.

The Midway ad for the screw-on R3/Limbsaver pad says 30% FWIW. John

"Designed and manufactured using Remington R3, 3-step technology from LimbSaver, the R3 Recoil Pad relieves recoil over 30% better than conventional recoil pads. The R3 Recoil Pad fits most synthetic stock versions of Remington shotguns and rifles."

Ive put Limbsavers on all my guns, from my 20 ga.O/U to my .375 H&H, I swear by them...my friend has a .270 just like my Ruger, with out the Limbsaver...atleast till he shot mine, he bought one.
I think they work great.
