What is the thinnest magazine tube cap I can buy to get the barrel as close to 12" as possible? Like 12.25"? Does it have grooves for the ball? Does is come in matte?

Is there a way I can attach a rail directly to the 1.085" foreend tubefor a pistol grip foreend instead of having a bulky and unneeded plastic 5.5oz foreend? I'd like to have a pistol grip (close to Tommy Gun angle) mounted on a cantalieved rail so that when chambered, the grip is at the end of the receive and moved unde the receiver when raking.

Standard cap will allow for 12" barrel, however the cap will be forward of the muzzle. As for thinnest, don't think there are any thinner than factory. Yes for grooves and matte. Can't help with the last part, as I never understood a vertical grip on a pump gun.

I found the Uncle Mike's cap to be a little shorter than the Standard cap (more like the Express cap). I have the Magul AFG2 forward at the same distance I use for rifle and a vetical grip behind it so that it is just forward the the receiver when firing and just clears my finger on the slide release when racking.

I left a few extra coils when reducing the mag spring length from 18" to 12" (just enough not to reduce shell capacity).

12.5" barrel is in my safe deposit box 25 miles away while I wait and wait and wait . . .

The rubber shim under the Speedbead mount needs to be replaced with some bedding material to make it parallel to the bore. I have a TLR-4 110 lumen light/laser mounted under the handle and a 250 lumen dazzle strobe mounted on the side.
