Remember when people complained about brands of Primers

I stocked up on the primers I like when the scalpers and panic buyers were trying to pay off their credit cards last time.

I have enough to last me until we have a new president.

Now...if only I could find a dang 22 cal collet for my puller.

When I bought those Wolf primers I met the guy at a gas station and he pulled up and asked "how many ya want and what size?" He had a stack of thousand sleeves in his front seat. I handed him the money through the window and he handed me the primers and drove off. Simple as that. He said he bought out the inventory of a gunshop of his buddy that lived in North GA. Said he kept a full PALLET of primers and was selling the rest for his buddy and him for profit. God only knows how many primers he had. I think I bought 7-8 thou at the gas station and wish I bought more than that!

I never complained about one brand being better than another. All brands have worked for me as they should. There were some I preferred but never viewed any of them as "junk". I always bought what was on sale and I bought as many as I could afford. I have never viewed Russian munitions as "junk". I believe there is a certain genius about Russian arms and munitions. No nonsense is the first thing that comes to mind. Best wishes!

I dearly wish the overseas brands would step up and fill the void like they used to. Aside from CCI, S&B is my favorite.
I would love to get my hands on S&B large rifle.
I bought every brick the local store had when I heard they weren't going to be available again.

I use the Wolf in auto loaders. Wheelguns get the S&B (got a great deal on those too)....

I never met a primer I didn't like.

But I mostly use CCIs and Winchesters, because they were easier to find up to a year ago.

Funny thing is, about 7 years ago I thought buying a brick of Remington LP for $36 was pricey. I did buy them, just thought it was pricey. Now look at us.

Bought CCI SPP when I started reloading and stuck with them. Bought a brick of Remington 1 1/2 SPP once because it was all they had in stock. I'm glad I did! My 380 light strikes the CCI SPP. The Remington fires 100%. Recently found some Federal SPP #100. Need to try them in the 380. A friend gave me a sleeve of Winchester SPP and they are 100% in the 380 also. I guess I need to be a little picky with my primers to make sure I have enough that function in the 380.

Way back when, I saw a stack of the S&B primers for less money than the CCI at Cabelas, but I didn't know anything about them so I passed. Now I wish I bought them, a lot of them!
