Remingto Cyclone Ammo

My experience with the reliability of that ammo has been abysmal. It seems like about 1 in every 5 shots goes "click" but maybe I just got a bad lot or something. The accuracy wasn't impressive through my old Savage Mark III, either.

Oh no you didn't, we have plenty customers that can attest to cyclone, along with thunderbolt, american eagle and wildcat ammo doing just that.

I shoot a lot of thunderbolt and american eagle and for the cash it is good ammo, so what if you get a dud from time to, toss it in the creek and onward.

here is your ammo list for 22's, consider no others, but this is best basic
list you will ever find, and should fill all your needs.

anything eley
anything golden eagle
anything Aguila. All the above made by eley, the finest 22 ammo in the world.
anything cci. parent company makes most of the rocket fuel in america,
plus the booster rocket fuel for the shuttle, so they are allright as well.
anything wolf.
anything federal.
anything winchester.
American Eagle red box, with the geometric eagle pic on the cover; this is made
by federal, and is cheap and surprisingly good, and accurate.
Bulk packs, by federal or winchester, avoid cci bulk packs.
ALL REMINGTON AMMO IS A!@#$s CRAP, and should be avoided, it is
generally terrible, poorly crimped, powder can be loose, to clumpy from
round to round, can have diff amounts in it. is also very dirty.
Apparently Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder protege's work on loading
their ammo.
The only good remmy ammo is orange box, or yellow box, which is
made BY ELEY ANYWAY!!!!

my experience with it is it is the cleanest rimfire ammo i have ever shot! accuracy wise, it seems on par with most i have shot. but i am not a 0.25 moa shooter either. more like 1" groups @ 50 yards from a good rest, and about 3" groups when standing freehand.

Hey ranger, wanna hear something funny... My anschutz does better groups with thunderdonts than it does with match ammo.

I have seen pictures of some really bad boxes where the ammo looked like it had been driven over. That doesn't mirror my own experience, but that is a very small percentage of how much of the rem is out there. I have only ever had 3 failure to fires / failure to ejects. All 3 were out of the same 50 rnd box. All 3 were in my anschutz. My mossberg has never had a problem getting them to go pop. My Mark III, no problems. My grandfathers marlin.. no probs. My old mans mossy.. no problems. That said, I have a failure rate of about .3 percent of the rounds that I have fired.

Yes, I know, I know remmy CAN be good, get great results; heck I have gotten them before. But for every good story of remmy ammo, there is 10 bad.
and remember from my above list, cci has about 20 diff kinds of 22 ammo, in just long rifle, aguila has another 20, and eley has another 20 to choose from; slow, standard, hi velocity, solid point, fmj, copper washed hollow point, segmented, solid lead, varmint grenade, you name it. so in the above list, you can proly go through about 100 diff kinds of ammo. Surely in that list, there will be 1 or 2 boxes, that will shoot as good or better, than any remmy ammo for you. plus it will likely be more consistent, less stinky, less dirty, and make your hair look great as well.
Our goal is to teach remmy a lesson here, and start making better 22 ammo.

I tend to stay with ATK ammuntion.

But I doth protest the remington failures. We aint had any yet.... but again we only shoot those in 20 or 12 gauge.
