    I like the Ruger 77/22 enough that I've got two of them. They just look like a rifle is supposed to look in my book. They both shoot plenty well enough for me.

    No. 1. 1984 sporter model. 2x7x32 Simmons scope. I need a better picture of this one.

    No. 2. 1987 bull barrel model. Green Mountain barrel, floated and glass bedded. This one needs a better scope, but I had the one on it already. 3x9x40 Simmons.

    Depends on how you define "best". Best is probably Anschutz, Walther, Pardini, RWS, or Cooper of Montana.

    I really like my Remington 504: accurate (some have reported some barrel issues with some 504s but that hasn't been my experience at all), nice trigger, handles well and looks like a Kimber for half the price. Get one while you can-although they've been discontinued, you can still find them on dealer shelves.
