Remington 512 Mounts

I was out with my friend today trying to sight in his Remington 512. We bottomed out the scope (an old Mossberg) before we could get everything dialed in. Does anyone know of a mount that will fit this gun? The dovetails are about 7 inches apart and he would ideally like to find a better scope.

Here's the only picture I have. The difficulty comes from the wide spacing of the mount points.
