Hello Has anyone out there ever put peep sights on a 541s? I have a nice one ,after shooting a friends winchester model 75 sporting 22 rifle I think a 541s with peep sights might be the next best thing.Any thoughts or opinons would be appreciated , I have limited funds so I need to get this right on the first attempt thank you

I have one with peeps my son shot for several years, earned his BSA Rifle Merit Badge with it before anyone else in the class, so it shoots well. Unfortunately, the trigger and safety are not as good as the Win 75's or more expensive Remington's such as the 510-513 series.

I have a 541THB, don't have the eyes for iron sights. So it has a 24 power scope. That works, like the irons if you have the eyes.

I don't have a 541s but I do have a 581 Remington with Aperture rear and globe front sights installed.

Rear sight is an Evolution Gun Works rimfire rear sight

Front sight is a Lyman ,494' target globe

I use a bead on post insert but with so many choices, that one is yours.
The EGW rear is simply the finest general purpose aperture rear sight you can buy, adjustment is precicse and repeatable, the sight is durable, way more durable than the Willians aperture sight is replaced and the lines are clean.

This sight set will cost about $130 installed. It is money well spent if this is the type of sight set up you are considering. HTH
