Was just curious of anyone had any experance with this rifle. I have a long range rifle in .308 already so I would be looking for this one in the 300 WM. Here is a link
    Any input would be welcome.

Not worth it to me. If I were looking for a remington 700 in 300 WM I would just go with the remington 700 police. Cheaper same action just no fluting on the barrel and different trigger grouping.

300 WM? Lots of rifles with less recoil and better ballistics.

skinewmexico - are you referring to the 300 wm or the 700 tac? Don't get me wrong I love my savage 12 F/TR, and I still need some practice with it. The other rifle was just a hypothetical. I already have a very nice custom bbl 300 wby. I saw the Remington and it looked like something I might be interested in, that’s all.

I would go with the 700P. The XCR has a nicer trigger and stainless barrel, but is that worth the extra few hundred dollars? It isn't to me, but it's not my money. If you think it is worth it go ahead and get it.
