Remington 715 deals

    Heads up !

    The current Remington rebate program lists a $50 rebate on the model 715, a synthetic stock bolt-action.

    "Bud's Gun Shop" on Gunbroker.com has the .243, the 7mm Rem. Mag. and the 30/06 for $279.99 (before the rebate) and I think some other places on Gunbroker have it in .270 Winchester for about the same money.

    I wouldn't walk across the street to be given a rem 715 as it's little more than a retread of that craptastic 710 they had a couple years back

    Hmmm. Maybe that's why they are offering the rebate on the 710 too. And I think a version called the 798.

    I've not seen any of them so can't say.

    Maybe someone will come along and post a clear and definite opinion of them.

    the 798 is a different animal all together, these are a full on mauser action mace by the Yugoslav firm Zastava and imported by rem. In the past they've been sold as Carles Daily's and Interarms
