Remington 798 comments?

Does anyone out there own a Remington 798 in a Magnum caliber? I have been thinking about getting one, but don't know very much about these guns and I have never actually seen one in person. Most of the on-line reviews are either get one today, here is a picture of my free one, or don't waste your money on that one get the 4 thousand dollar gun.


I know they are made in Serbia, but I also own a Spartan Arms (Remington) that was made in Russia, it is a nice gun.

I've looked at a couple of them. If my info is correct they are made by the same plant that the Interarms Mark X was. If thats the case I will stay with the older, and now discontinued, Interarms. In my opinion the 798 just isn't finished as nicely as the Interarms. I have a brand new, never fired Mark X from 1989 and the action and finish on it is much nicer than the Remingtons that I looked at.
