Considering they are the company that has been making them forever, and they probably don't have as much litigation to worry about, I wouldn't be so quick to discredit the idea.
Like I said before, the factory that had been making them forever was destroyed in NATO bombings in the early 1990s. This is why all the Yugo SKS rifles are on the C&R list despite some of them being barely 10 years old. Its the same company, different factories.
