Remington Model 8 Butt Plate Picture Needed

    As the title says, I need a picture of what the original butt plate looks like. Any help is appreciated, Thanks

    There is not one buttplate that came on Model 8's, but several in fact. As many as 6 or more were used throughout production. Generally though, you can tell depending on when the rifle was produced.

    Early production 8's used gutta percha hard rubber semi curved buttplate.

    Later production rifles used bottom tang metal buttplates.
