It shoots pretty dang well. That's just a red dot sight on it not a magnified scope. We've only used the open sights and the red dot.

The best groups I've gotten out of it with the usual bulk .22LR is about just over an inch at 50 yards with the red dot on it. I don't shoot it much and a scope would help. Once my daughter gets more experience, I will probably lighten the trigger pull a bit.

That model 5 is an amazingly well built rifle for anyone not used to seeing Zastava .22LR rifles. Her's is the youth model that came with a parkerized finish, the 16" barrel, and the pink stock. I found the full size stock in a blemish sale at Stocky's on the net.

Is yours like this one, or is it something different?

My Model 5 is also made by Zastava in Serbia. Mine shoots great. Several hundred gophers can attest to that fact. Actually... they can't. They're dead!

If they're within 100 yards, and the wind isn't too bad, they're DONE!

Have you found a certain bullet yours likes better, as I said mine likes the stingers, which is great, love the stingers, but I tried alot of different bullets , but it seems to like the cci blazers too ,which is good cause there real inexpensive

I shoot either the Federal bulk [blue box with 525 rounds in a box] or the Winchester bulk [Grey box with 500 rounds in a box]. Those are the cheapest I can find in my neck of the woods, and the accuracy of each is comparable. I haven't tried others because I'm satisfied. If I'm "minute of gopher" out to 100 yards with the cheapest ammo I can find, I'm happy. If all I can see is the gopher's head, and it's within about 75 yards or so, I'll have a real good chance at hitting it.
Each box is about $20/box, which makes each shot worth about $0.04.
