I have a old nylon 66 that is missing the threaded washer for the rear sight. I have checked my normal places like Numrich, and Jack First, and no one has any.

Can anyone describe one, so that I could try to make one.

What washer are you referring to? I just looked at my 66 and do not see a washer on either of the adjustment screws. I'm the original owner of my gun and do not think the rear sight has ever been taken apart so I don't think I'm missing a washer....

The screw actually threads into the rear sight and pulls it down. The screw is peened to a washer on the inside of the cover to hold it in place.

My work, http://ahlmans.com/ has both the screw and washer if you need a replacement.

Could you provide me with a stock or part number for this. I called Ahlmans parts Dept. for the washer, and they said that they didn't carry it.

Thanks,

#16527 Cost $8.64

I physically saw at least thirty today when I looked, but they were under the sight screws in the bin. Maybe they just missed them.

Can't thank you enough N Schafer!

Could you give me guidance on how to stake on on?

That helped. But I sure could you some step by step instructions from someone who knows how to do it.

Thanks,
