I purchased NIB RP9 in January and haven’t had much of hiccup. I’ve seen the videos on YouTube about it and figure mine must be broken. I mean I haven’t had any reliability issues whatsoever. It will digest WWB, my crappy plated reloads and cast lead loads. Must be something wrong with mine because it just keeps on ticking.

PS: the ambi slide release does in fact only work on one side, thank goodness I’m not wrong handed.

I have one too that runs good. When I first got it I had issues with the mags so remington sent 2 replacements.. I like it.

At one time they were going for $250.00

That is a great deal for a full-sized nine. Remington was also offering rebates, so if someone applied a rebate to a gun they already got on sale - they got a super deal on those.

That's what I did. I got mine for $300 shipped. The transfer was $20 then I got a $100 rebate. Best deal in a long time.

Yeah, I didn’t read the fine print on the rebate. I bought mine one day after the rebate ended. Still a great gun though.

Even at the normal ~$300 price they're a bargain.

I already had more 9mm handguns than you can shake a stick at, but was a bit short on double column .45s. When the RP45 was released with it's 15+1 capacity in a reasonably sized package for $312 shipped, I jumped on it. A few weeks later, they released the night sight version. They don't yet sell the night sights separately, though. So I had to buy a night sight model, which was $353 shipped. I then threaded the barrel and made an extension so it could be suppressed, and it has since replaced my G20 as the night stand gun. The one with standard sights became the wife's toy.

Yeah I got mine from PSA for $287 shipped. Since they have a local store I didn't have to pay a transfer fee but I had to pay $20 in sales tax so it balanced out to about the same, plus the $100 rebate. At the time they were selling them with 2 18 rnd magazines and 2 10 round magazines for that price.

The slide release issue is annoying but since I'm right handed I can live with it.
