This has been on the market for a few months now and has accumulated a pile of bad reviews on the Internet. Anybody have any positive things to say about it?

I rented one. Two hundred trouble free rounds 124Gr-FMJ NATO Spec fired thru it. Since I already have more handguns than I need, I passed on buying it.

I tried it at the local range guy next to me had rented it and it was ok. Only did 5 rounds all in the 10 ring at seven yards. The guy liked and it was on his list of guns to buy.

I talked to the counter guys and the said so far no complaints, they started renting it in July and have not cleaned it yet trying to see how far it can go before it has problems, they have oiled the rails a little in that time.

    Nope.

You can buy better pistols for less money from companies that care about producing quality firearms.

The RP9 only exists to sell to uninformed buyers who like their old pre-Cerberus Remington rifles or shotguns, have a hankering for a pistol, and see one with the Remington name in Bass Pro Shops or Gander Mountain or whatever over-priced sporting goods store they shop in, and think it must be a quality firearm.

    Hard pass.

A majority of the gun community has lost faith in Remington guns. It’s a shame because they use to be a great gun company. I do hear good things about their 1911 R1’s and RM380’s, the RP9 not so much. It’s almost to the point of being referred to as “the gun in which we do not speak”, though not as bad as the R51

Probably because your palm fell in love with the grip. It fits small/medium hand far better than most.
