Has anyone shot one of these things extensively yet? I have the chance to pick up a new .308 for about 150 bucks less than they go for on
Gunbroker et. al, but I have really heard very few practical opinions. Can't decide if I love or hate the look, but I can come to like ugly guns that shoot....(who was it that said "Only accurate rifles are interesting?"). Thanks in advance!

Col. Townsend Whelen. VTR looks like a gimmick to me. I tend to believe things that come out of competition, but that just looks like it came from a marketing department.

Thanks for the info, I should have remembered the good Colonel.

I tend to agree with you about the rest, I dont see many benchrest guns without round bbls. I still havn't heard from anyone who has any bench time with a VTR....time will tell though.
