finally made it out today for the first time and put around 200 rounds through the tube.

the rig:

SPS Tactical
10X bushnell 3200
weaver tactical base and 4X4 rings
trigger adjusted down to 3 pounds
barrel free floated on factory hogue stock

the groups at 100 yards:

target on the right were the first rounds down range and finding the paper. middle target is getting it to finally settle in. the target on the right is a change of ammo and point of impact seems a little lower. all in all im pretty satisfied with the grouping of the factory fodder especially since im not really a benchrest shooter. now i need to develop a couple of loads and hopefully i can get the groupings down.

another observation was that shooting off the bipod seemed to be way steadier, the first 2 targets were off sandbags and the last target was from the bipod. i wanted to shoot without the bipod first to see if there was a drastic change in point of impact with it.

wow 200rds in a bolt gun in a day that is pretty good, right there, i like i like!

i say drop the trigger weight some more and get the rifle a nice paint job so it aint just another black bolt gun.
