Removing DPMS Flash Hider

I bought my DPMS Panther Lite less than a year ago. It has a flash hider with surfaces for a wrench. I am told that these are merely screwed on and that the threads on the barrel are one-half by twenty-eight. So there is no solder or pin? The FH can be unscrewed with sufficient muscle power? One unscrews this counterclockwise as you are looking at the muzzle?

Assuming that you have a 16" barrel, the flash hider should just be screwed on and can be unscrewed with the appropriate wrench and a little muscle.

Make sure you don't have a 14.5" barrel with permanently attached muzzle device to bring it out to 16" though.
