Does anyone know where I might find a black faux pearl grip for a Uberti SAA clone with a bird's head grip? Or even the material to make one myself?
I looked in all the places I could think of but no dice.

I looked in all my usual places for you as well and couldn't find anything thicker than 1/4", but you could epoxy two layers together and blend the seam when final finishing. Here's a place with black pearl (Kirinite) I usually get my material from: https://www.kirinite.com/kirinitetm-black-pearl.html

I had made a similar type set (one piece when finished) in white pearl for my Cimarron Thunderball sometime back.

Thanks, and I remember that thread. Your grip turned out great. I will use your thread as a reference when I get some material together.

I started out just like you looking for what I wanted and couldn't find it as well, so yep had to make it myself.

I also made a set for my Ruger Blackhawk CarryHawk which may have a more similar birdshead shape to your Uberti than my Cimarron which has the grip frame hump. Here's the vids in case you don't want to search around for my threads.

Your grips, and especially your knife scales, are works of art.

Thanks Speedo66, that's a really kind comment. Not sure I'm worthy, but nonetheless appreciate it greatly.
