Restoring RC K98 Mauser

Hey guys i'm trying to find a step by step process to remove shellac from my RC Mauser and make it look orignal. If I ever wanted to I could always just put shellac back on....

I want to be as gentle as I can, and am generally pretty bad at this kind of stuff, anybody got a link or video for me?

FYI, the solvent for shellac is denatured alcohol.

Surplus rifles.com had a tutorial on that online. (It was called refinishing old rifles or something close to that.) Orange-based stripper, synthetic scrub pads, then boiled linseed oil/turpentine mix to re-finish. I did that an old grimy / cosmoline crusted 98k stock and it worked great. Ditto for a 70's vintage Savage.
