This forum seemed the right place to let loose some of my celebratory mood as it's been populated by people that:
A. Generally view the venerable 870 with a degree of fondness.
B. Some hold an old reverence for blue and wood.
C. Can remember regretting the sale of a favored firearm.
After 25 years of off-and-on searching for something like the 870TB I never should have turned loose of, my FFL called today to say a package showed up from Alaska. It still fits. Anybody old enough to remember the 1970's TB's that were routinely stocked with fine lumber?
It's like finding an old friend. The SP3 is going to get neglected for a while. Remmie, I and several boxes of Blue Magics (who remembers those?) got a date with some clays this weekend.
And thanks to WildAlaska and Wild West - don't know how you found it, but I'm in your debt.
