So this is an interesting item to be shown off at the 2025 shot show. Rev industries has developed a speed loader that holds 3 reloads worth in a package about the size of a large autoloader magazine as far as I can tell.

I would like to see a picture of the release mechanism to get a better idea of how it all works.

Currently it looks like only .38 and .357 revolvers are supported, but these look like they have potential.

Also if I had one I might try to put some clear tape over those open exposed windows to prevent stuff from getting in them, or it snagging, but aside from that they look good.

What do you guys think?

Very interesting.
Currently they have no .357 models for K frame S&W’s, but they allowed me to select the .38 option. At the checkout page it states delivery may not happen for 60 days. The price is $19.99.
I decided I would wait until they catch up with their orders. I don’t want a rushed model with QA issues.

The only .357 I have is a kimber k6s dasa and I am not sure if any of the models they have will work for that model. The price is so good and the concept so intriguing that I will try one that's close to a match.

So in an emergency reload --- what do you do, drop it to the ground or have it tied to a string attached to your belt?
Looks to me like the solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
Wonder why they stopped at 3 reloads. Why not 4,5 or 6 ?
Obvious that I am not a fan.

I’ll have to work that out once I get the one I ordered. I couldn’t resist. The concept looks pretty cool. The reality may not be…

The more loads, the heavier & because of that, 2 reloads might be better. If the reload is an emergency, you would drop it. It the reload is behind cover, you could probably put it back where it came from. Not sure I'm a fan either but may try one.

To me it looks like a potential competition aid rather than something for the everyday world.

Sort of reminds me of those tubular speedloaders for shotguns.

I'll stick with my current trio of HKS speedloaders. My biggest problem is dropping things and my arrangement gives me three tries.

Still, some clever thinking.

Unique idea. Like some of the others I am leaning these are geared more towards the gaming side than ccw. But if they work, and can be stowed between the first and second loading and firing, it could be useful to carry. 🤔

Let us know how they work for you when you get it in March (April?) @Pat Riot.

Stay safe.

I have a range at my house so I often just walk out to it and shoot like 3 or 5 cylinders. I might get a couple of these just so I can load up a couple and throw them in my pocket rather than a handful of loose rounds in my jacket pocket. I do not see this as a serious defensive tool. The idea you are going to do multiple reloads with this while being shot at is a fantasy. It would also be nice to keep in a backpack or bag if you are going hiking or whatever and you want to bring some extra ammo with you.

Looks like it should work on the Kimber as long as the grip does not interfere. They list the Charter Police Undercover and the Armscor 206 which are D frame size. The Kimber, Taurus 856, and Colt Cobra are not listed but have the same size cylinder. Might just be an oversight. They list the Rossi 351 which is a 5 shot revolver, so that’s an error.

Well I have placed an order for one based on this info, $30 isn't bad to support such a neat idea. I will also share how well it works when I get it.

*Edit* Now I am looking at tritium sights for the kimber and a set of those new Hamre forge grips. This speedloader experiment may end up costing me right around $300, cause I can't say no to night sights and palm filling, sweat resistant grips.

Funny, I was thinking the exact opposite.

In competition, you'd drop the speedloader as soon as the cartridges released. You don't even toss them aside, you just open your fingers and let the speedloader fall.

If you had to withdraw the speedloader and place it back in a carrier, your reload would likely take twice as long

I’ve never heard of these folks. I like the looks of their Yarak J frame grip. Thank you.

I had one of similar layout years and years ago. More a novelty than a serious source of more ammo. Maybe this one is better. I would use it for LAMR in IDPA SSR.

No problem. I picked up a set of their charter arms boot grips for my Charter Arms Professional after I gave it a bobbed hammer and wanted to maximize its potential as a pocket carry piece.

I really like them, they have a dryness to them that helps my grip, in addition to filling my palm very nicely with the flair from the hooked panel. I find the fullness more than compensates for the shortness of the grips. In addition they have the best recess I have experienced for speed loaders as well. I am very pleased with them.

18 rounds of .357, or even .38Spl. is a lump of weight I don't particularly want to haul around in my pocket. It might be okay as a convenience on the range, but I can't see loading in a hurry using it. The video in the website shows a Chiappa Rhino getting loaded. The grip is narrower near the cylinder that on a K frame S&W (actually the Rhino grip is a bit lower than the Smith) and it seems to me the long cylinder of the reloader would interfere with the top of a S&W grip where the football cut is, or even with the speed loader cut of a factory stock. The Altamonts I have on my M19-3 just barely clear a standard speed loader (mine are Safariland Comp II's). As mentioned above, this gizmo would take longer for a reload than a standard speed loader in a competition because you'd waste time putting it back on a holder than you would just dropping it.

I didn't see in the listing an offering for N frame S&W's, just K and L frames.

I received my Rev Speedloader 2 days ago. I finally got around to playing with it this morning.
I used Mematic to create photo collages with descriptions. I hope I can fit them all in one post. It took me a while to make these.
Also, I hope these are helpful.

I would not call the loaders “Speedloaders”. Perhaps with practice, maybe.
I would not use it with Semiwadcutter ammo if I expect to load the cylinder quickly.
I would not use it ant all with Wadcutters.
The RNFP and Conicals loaded great.

If you were standing at a table maybe. The retention time would make it a loser vs methods that fall away and are later retrieved after the clock stops.
