Revolver beauty...Autos are UGLY

Yeah, I figured it had been back for a makeover...Nothing wrong with that. Matter of fact, I have a 60's gun that will probably go back sometime this year.

I don't think auto's are ugly....they just lack the same "class" as revolvers. But then, I don't own any really nice looking autoloads. I once had a very beautiful Llama .45 but I would never trust my life with it. And I'm sure if I really needed it, my somewhat plain/ugly G 23 would really look beautiful to me. I have to admit though, I'm much less likely to trade away one of my old revolvers. It's harder to part with a nice revolver that's probably more difficult to replace than a bottom feeder.

technically that is an auto it's called a Webley-Fosbery self cocking revolver kinda of a mix between the two

Its still a revolver just that it auto cocks itself after being fired. A auto ejects and feeds a new round from a magazine.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I personally feel that a revolver with a scope on it is fugly no matter how nice the pistol is. It just doesn't look right.

For utility, plastic framed autos have the market. Glock, M&P, and XD are the tools of the trade now, but they are also void of personality and the cool factor. I carry a Glock concealed, but it is a black thing that goes bang. I have no urge to show it to my friends or post pictures on THR. How many of you even bother looking when someone posts a thread "check out my new glock (pics)"? I know I don't.

The finer things in life are not usually the most practical....

Bad picture, bad replacement grips, but I just picked up a 1957 blue Cobra on Friday, and feel the urge to post a pic on THR :p
