I found a revolver at a shop nearby that I thought would be perfect for adventure out in the world.

It has a pretty good pedigree and is very classically styled. Chambered in 455 Webley, not the most easily found world wide ammunition, but a capable round.

Perfect for riding atop an enormous elephant or defending against Egyptian swordsmen in Cairo.

All for the paltry sum of Five Large.

Oops, that’s five thousand, I meant Five Trump.
    That’s $5,000,000.00.

Now I just need a $57,000 bullwhip, and a Stetson!:)

Five million for The Bapty sounds about right.

And some fool might be found to pay it. Although, one has to ask, how does someone who has managed to accumulate an extra 5 mil in disposable money be that lacking in judgement?

Aside from the movie connection, that's a very mundane revolver.

I think its worth about 10% of the ask, based on what Indy's other personal effects went for at auction in recent years.

If it was a functioning revolver that could still fire live ammo, it might be worth 1 mil or 20% of ask.

If I had just held onto that solid gold idol for a little bit longer...damn you Belloq! :fire:

A really cool piece of movie history, but it’s a touch North of my price range.... about $4,999,650.00 North...

    Stay safe.

It hasn't sold yet, and at that price it may never be sold.

I have a 1949 Ruger Standard Model .22 Serial Number 3 with a price tag of only $2,500,000. Any takers? Until it actually sells, it is worthless.

A somber aside, what is an English sympathetic de-mill?
(Other than a “ we wreck your stuff because we’re the kings”...)
Could it be returned to functionality?

    $5M for a non-functioning pistol?
It was half a million less for two 1911s made out of meteorite.;)

Well, it is Michigan. We did vote in one of the most deficient, corrupt Governors in the land...
I like to think I’m an intelligent exception, but I’m from Michigan, so...:D

I think the seller's wife wanted it sold. At that price, he can say he's trying.

I would rather have the sword from the movie that never got used and only dropped once. :D

in Innjah. Perfect for a close up
    encounter when I can smell
    the beast's breath.

I was thinking the same thing and wondered how they would sympathetically deactivate a sword.

I'm guessin' that I can't afford this revolver to go with my Indy Halloween costume (got the hat, the boots, the khaki pants and the leather jacket though -- still need the whip)

I wouldn't give over $50 for the thing. Won't even shoot. I am a shooter.

I wonder what that Ryan trainer plane is worth now that Harrison Ford crashed it? I bet not much.

If it’s still there in a couple months when I get my year-end-bonus...

I like the movie but could care less about having actual on-screen props. I know it’s special and it makes me nervous about doing stuff with them. It would be like having the runaway golf cart from Ernest goes to camp... sure I would like a golf cart but I don’t want to be the guy to destroy such a classic by actually using it.

I wonder what they would get for the BV-38?;)

I hope they don’t butcher Indy 5. And I hope for a little more puzzling.:)

Does that mean the High Power he also had in the Nepal scene is only worth $2.5 million?

This is even worse. You’d be buying the cart that no longer works. You can’t even use it to ruin it! It really is a just a prop now...:(

And, I love my golf cart. Totally get one. Way worth it. Much better than a dirt bike, really.

Depends on if they ruined it, I mean, if they deactivated it yet...

Still a neat thing to stumble upon.
