Old Timers

I've grown very fond of the 1903 HE's, here is a 5th Change from 1912 originally shipped to NYC and ended up in the hands of a bootlegger in the hills of North Carolina in 1931. Bought it from the bootleggers family.

Well, I just finished polishing up an old(er) S&W model 60. It's a 1987 vintage turn-in from the Georgia Dept. of Corrections. It had a nice, ugly electropencil number on the side of it which took a bit of work to remove:

Her serial number dates her to 1984-85.



I named her Amity.

I honestly don't think she's ever been fired,,,
There is not one flaw or scratch anywhere on the gun.

I finally got around to taking this picture. The American police classic--one of the earliest M&P revolvers made (the third evolution of the famous M&P Model 10): The Smith and Wesson Hand Ejector Model of 1905, or the M1905. My particular model was made between 1928 and 1931.

OK, I'll join in, This was my first handgun, Taurus 82, 4 in. heavy barrel, bought it surplus ($179). It is Brazillian police trade in, evidently owned by a sweaty guy who never fired it, but did clean it. Outside had some rust and some pitting, but the inside was pristine. Gives me five inch groups at 15 yards, and always goes bang. I cleaned the outside up a bit, just to learn how.
