I really liked the ballistics of the 7mm RemMag, but didn't want to deal with a belted cartridge. Picked up a 280 instead and might AI it if I need a little bit extra. Cheaper, easier to source brass, less powder, almost the same ballistics.
It does make me think of ham! But I think of ham for lots of reasons. Or no reason at all . Need a wildcatter to neck that down ever so slightly- the 7.5mm Ham'nSwiss.
50 BMG because I don’t have one and am still waiting for deer that ride around in APC’s so i can throw some Depleted Uranium round at them.
I like diet coke, or did before it was woke-a-cola, but still don't like the 308. It's a perfectly good cartridge, but I just don't care and don't have a good reason. I've never owned one either. That is kind of funny because I do own a 300 Savage, which is a 308 with a short neck.
Oh come on! A fun little cartridge in a fun little gun with a ton of history behind it. What's not to like?
Nothing wrong with that, functionally its a fine round, as are most of the ones in this thread. Im not much of a lever gun guy, and one bad experience with the 32 special was all it took to make me dislike it.
Easy now. I’m gonna get my feelings hurt and have to start hurling insensitive, hurtful comments in your direction.
I have been personally attacked. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go outside and crank my 2500 HD and let it run til I get up at 4:00. Gotta make sure them glow plugs are good and hot, so I can get to my heated shooting house before daylight and pick these Mississippi deer off at 800 yards on the power line.
300 BO. Never tried it. Never will. 308 Win. Meh. 9mm Parabellum. Yawn. 6.5 CM - nope. disqualified. I have reasons for that one.
The problem is that 6.8spc was around for such a short time that I actually have no reason to dislike it. I have legitimate reasons (mostly) for my other dislikes. And don't worry, I have a thick skin!
