How many transport firearms and other goodies in a drag bag? Would it be too large for a carbine like an M1A Scout?

I like these bags because it could pass as a guitar or bass case to the casual observer (and I can lie about music convincingly to overly friendly and nosy neighbors), as it's less conspicuous than the rifle cases with the mag pouches cut into them, you can wear it like a backpack, and you can throw more stuff in there than just magazines.

Your thoughts?

To be honest the drag bags I've known wouldn't fit a very wide string instrument at all. Most of them are also very tactical looking so the neighbors might even get scared. :D

Drag bags are in fact just an over engineered soft case. You can't go wrong with one as a soft case so no problem there.

You ought to just get a snowboard bag, and customize it with padding and such. Much more low-key. Oh, and wear ski pants and a watch cap when you leave the house so that they think you are going snowboarding.

During the hot summer months, you will have to be more discreet. :D
