I assume that they don't work as well as a fully rifled barrel. Are they still a significant improvement over a smoothbore with a choke? I assume people would shoot sabots through them rather than rifled slugs. I have a Remington 870 express with removable chokes. 28" barrel. Any experience is appreciated.
They also work with foster slugs. Try a few, I think you will be surprised. My 870 would pattern with Winchester slugs at 25 yards with a Cyl or Imp Cyl tube. With a Remington extended rifled tube it now cuts nice cloverleaf groups on the target
