Shot today while dripping sweat. Marlin 925R, cheap Barska 3-9x with basic Harris bipod and Blazer 525 bulk pack 38gr LRN. 98, if I counted right. Not terrible, just not great.

Adjusted scope after first (top/left) bull. I was very happy with the next target (top right) but let down after that. F8F0AD36-454D-48B8-8A2C-5696C19AC2A4.jpeg

Okay, well, conditions were less than ideal, darkness, wind and no time to set up my spotting scope therefore I had no idea where my bullets were hitting. Those are my excuses. Crossing wind at 10/15 gusting 20 from right to left. Shot from a front bag. CCI SV 40 grain ammo. Rifle is the little Savage BTV. Scope set at 9X. I only had time for three targets. I was trying to get four.

One target (#3) has four holes, that one my wife came up behind me and touched me as I pulled the trigger ;).

If a hole split a ring I counted it to the lower ring, is that correct?

How many tries do we get? How many targets per entry? This rifle has gone hole on hole if I can get my stuff together :).

Maybe I should enter my Marauder, five shots at 40 yards:

We were saying one entry for rifle, But honestly this is just for fun. So if you're not happy with your performance, I don't see any reason to not shoot it again.....
If you break the line you get the higher score.

Speaking of that Marauder..... While not an "official" entry

Here's the targets I shot today with my QB78 repeater.

I scored to the lower, oh well. I should have waited for a better day but was impatient. :)

I do not want to cheat, maybe I will enter my Savage Mk II TR or my modded 1022 as a second entry.

This looks like fun. I'll try to get to the range this weekend and not melt in the Hot Texas Sun. I must have missed where I can get the targets to print off and what range are they being shot at?? Oh by the way....good shooting guys!!

Just saying. The target is challenging. Without a spotting scope I cannot see my holes at 50 yards. Those splatter type targets I can see, this printed target is a challenge. Of course, it is supposed to be a challenge so I am not complaining :), this is part of the contest. But unless a spotting scope is against the rules I plan to use one next time so I can see what I am doing ;). You can have a great group but if it is printing in a low ring, no prize for you!!!!! We are not going for groups, we want points, lol.

THAT was the challenging part last time. You need a good group where you're aiming.

I have a QB78 single shot. It's pretty accurate but I don't know about 50 yards. The seals leak in it so I can't shoot it now. I am hoping for the pain in my hands to go down soon so I can shoot this target again .Probably with a CZ 452.

I just rebuilt mine which is actually what prompted me to shoot it lol.....had to scrounge up a pos scope and pull the objective lock ring so i could adjust it enough to see....
Not sure what i did with the scope off that gun when it was down.

I did my Remington 572 today. I planed on doing my Marlin XT 22 and Rossi gallery gun too. I couldn't get comfortable bench shooting the little rossi. I was moving alot. The XT 22 i put my new Burris scope on it. But it was hitting way low. I ran out of elevation adjustment. Im going to try other rings before i call Burris. So any way here is the target with the 572. I forgot to get a pic of how it was rested. I had it on a Caldwell tack driver bag. Ammo win 555.

Entry number 2, my Ruger 1022:

I used my spotting scope to see where the first bullet landed and corrected from there. A little better, I guess. If the dang wind would let up a little. I need a better scope, the BSA is only 9X and it has a fairly course cross hair at 9X covering the bull making it difficult to be precise.
