I'm jealous of you guys. Working 50 to 60 hrs a week, trying to bale hay after work, and taking care of a newborn really ate into my shooting time. I get a 3 day weekend because of memorial day so my fingers are crossed.

Great to see everybody havin a good time at the range, nice shootin everyone. Just printed out the targets, and oh boy....think I need to color in the most outer ring to get poa established for shootin irons
Then I'll try with a scope

Thank you for inspiring me to go to the range today.
Rifle: Marlin Model 39-A Golden Mountie 1960s manufacture
Scope: 1950s all steel, all glass Weaver B4 in Weaver Tip-Off mount
Ammo: CCI standard velocity (1070 fps) and Federal Champion (1240 fps), both lead roundnose 40gr bullets.
Sunny day, occassional light breeze, comfortably warm weather. From a concrete bench, using "sand bags" made of clay cat litter in gallon freezer ziplock bags inside denim jeans legs. I loaded the magazine with 12 rounds for each target. I kept the white ten ring blocked by the intersection of the crosshairs as I squoze off the shots.
I shot two sighter targets and four of the B-2 Style stargets. These are the two best of my B-2s. I have no alibi for the 5 ring 1 o'clock flier.

Scored an even 100 with a Springfield 120 and a 4x32 that I stole off my air rifle. Ammo was Aguila high velocity. I didn't realize I was shooting high and didn't figure it out till I was almost done.

DSCN0113.JPG So guys, I shot a Steel Challenge today, with my JBM Bullpup, and did quite well for my first time. Just for kicks, I stayed after the competition and shot the Bullpup for this challenge here. As I figured, it's not really for 50 yard plinking, but I was a bit surprised how well it did for having a red dot. The dot completely covers the whole black area area on these, making it a bit tough. I ran out of Mini-mags on the SC, so I substituted Yellow-Jackets for this. DSCN0120.JPG

I gave it a try today.
Ruger 10/22 stainless carbine
blackhawk telescoping stock (for the kiddos)
vortex PST 4-16
walmart special bipod from 10yrs ago
cci mini mags
I need to try it again with the original stock and some sandbags perhaps. CCI mini mags had the best chrono numbers, SD of 9 over 10 shots, ES 30fps. FGMM 22lr had an SD of 14 over ten shots with ES of 40fps

score: 86
