Hey all.
I've been carrying for a while now, but a few months back started carrying my M&P 40C. Unlike my LCP, I chamber the first round from the magazine with my M&P due to the fact that I essentially need to slam the magazine in if its full. As such, the second round in that magazine has developed a polished ring from the first round. Could this be damaging the round in any manner that might either inhibit the round from firing properly or create any other dangerous condition? I've attached a couple pictures - forgive me for how out of focus they are, I don't have a macro lens.

Repeated chambering of the same round "may" cause problems like the bullet seating deeper, but doesn't always. Try either unloading/reloading the mags to balance the wear or (preferably) empty the mag downrange and start with fresh ammo monthly.
