So Sad. I remember BikerDoc as one of the first members that responded to one of my initial posts. Always helpful, very insightful, and seemed like someone who had quite a bit of real world experience beyond guns.

    RIP Bikerdoc.

What a shock, even though he had beat the reaper several times in the last few years. Honest and hard working moderator here, beloved by members and staff both. He always had more concern about others instead of himself. Vaya con Dios, Doc.

    He will be missed dearly.

When we talked, I got the sense of a man who tirelessly cared for his wife and family and worked to help and provide for others. When he should have retired due to multiple medical issues and age, he instead continued to work to support his working wife Cyndi for their retirement. He told me they spent most of their money saved for retirement on helping family and had to severely downsize their choice of retirement house to a "small shack". He was a much better man than I.

I met him several years ago. I had posted about the PPK/S I got for my wife, and was talking about running different ammo through it to see what it liked best.

He hooked up with me locally and gave me a handful of boxes of .380 ammunition to try. I don't remember how many, but four or five comes to mind.

He was also a dedicated family man.

Oh, no! He had terrific wit, clever timing, a great sense of humor, and was clearly knowledgeable.
RIP, @bikerdoc. Condolences to your family, friends, and those at THR who knew you in-person.

This is sad, sad news. He was a kind, helpful man who took time to explain things to me when I reached out to him. It's telling that his avatar displayed him alongside his wife. I have great respect for him.

It's a painful day. Doc was one of those who can't be replaced.

If you can, consider donating to the gofundme John set up. It's not much, but it will help with ... expenses.
