Oh wow! Just was thinking of him today and to find this out. My condolences to his family. RIP Richard, you will be missed.

Rest in peace, Richard. I'm sorry I only knew you from your posts. We are greatly diminished by your passing.

Sad , with my new job I don't get on here much , but back when I was on THR almost every day I did more reading than writing , seem like every time I had some good advice to give, RC beat me to it , he will be missed , hard to think of The High Road and not think of him .

:( Rest in peace, Richard, and thank you for your contribution to THR, your support for the Second Amendment, and your helping to expand the love and knowledge of shooting to ignorant new shooters like myself over the years.

This is such sad news! He gave me so many great pointers and was always so happy to help everyone out. To me, he was the heart of THR and the reason for visiting so often. He will be sorely missed.

Many have already said it all above. Shocked and saddened to see this - have not been on THR as much as usual lately for a variety of reasons, and truly this is a big loss to the community. Like so many others, I never skipped a comment by RC, whatever the topic.

Fitting that we all will continue to learn from RC, as we search particular topics on THR and see his informative and humorous comments in the pertinent threads.

Thanks to Bull and Shanghai and Trent and the moderators and all you others for this tribute to one of THR's most treasured members.

RIP RC. You didnt know me, but you went out of your way to help me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom. You will not be forgotten.

Although I have only recently started posting on THR, I have lurked for some time.

I always looked forward to reading RCModel's posts.

A true gentlemen who freely shared his considerable knowledge.

You will be missed, RCModel, and may you Rest In Peace.

I am really sorry to hear that! He was really a very, very knowledgeable and helpful person.

Wow. I was wondering why he hadn't posted in a bit. I just figured he'd been busy. I didn't really know him aside from a few PM's and a massive archive of useful information on the forums.

It is legitimately depressing to hear that he is gone. THR will continue to be a good resource for info but it lost one of the most knowledgeable and active members. He will be missed.

I'm sorry to learn of his passing and of his wife's condition. He was one of the stalwarts of solid information, standards and advice that make THR (to borrow from Hemingway) A clean well-lighted place for a gun nut to hang out in. Requiescat in pace, Richard.

Rest in peace, RC. Although I'm not as active on the forum as I used to be, I always remember him answering all my beginner questions, as I explored different parts of the hobby. I'm sad to hear of his passing.

RC was a great contributor to THR! I was in touch a few times in private when talking to him and thanked him for his kindness to other members, even though as many mentioned a question already asked and answered. He wanted to help any way he could and help he did to this member. I read a ton of his answers. He was quick on the draw. If you search for "Jebus" on a 9mm load with I believe Unique, he beat a ton to the punch. I used the recipe for reloading my 9mm and they shoot awesome.

I told him that he should be a moderator and he said he was asked but wasn't interested at the time.

He will be missed.

RIP RC, Thank you for your wisdom. I wish I knew what you forgot!
