A sad day, indeed....

RC has been a great resource and inspiration.
I did not know he was caring for his wife in her condition. What a marvelous thing to do for your beloved spouse. Truly an inspirational man to be admired and emulated.
He will be missed here for sure.
Rest in eternal peace, my friend.

My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. RC was a fixture on this site, and was very generous with his time in helping to answer questions. RIP reloader emeritus.

My condolences to his family; though we never met, I felt like I knew him, and we will all miss him.

What sad news. RC was one of the most welcoming and helpful people to me here on THR.
I am sad for those who knew him. May God bless.

God this sucks. I coorisponded with RC several times in the last few years and really enjoyed every exchange. I'm going to miss his posts and his humor.

RIP buddy.

Thanks to Bull for informing the group.

I will echo the sentiments already stated , we here on THR haved lost a treasure chest full of knowledge , His family will be in my prayers, May he find rest there in the great range in the sky.

Most all posters on the Internet I take with a grain of salt. Throughout my experience on THR, RCmodel proved to be the best, most reliable, knowledgeable, well versed, and generous with his wisdom, of any poster I have encountered. He offered solid information to the best of his knowledge, which was truly prolific. I don't think there was a thread he didn't read, and every post of his I read was a positive contribution.

I am deeply saddened to read here that he has passed. He was a pillar of this site.

RIP

Wow. Sad news. As THR folks, we were lucky to have him.

Rest in peace. A good person has moved on.

I had to look back. I read this site for a long time before joining. So much good information. RC was the first to post on my first thread. Problems resizing my .30-06. Chambering trouble in my ABolt. Of course I was't pushing the shoulder enough. A very patient man.

Sad news!! He will be missed as when you saw a post by RC Model you stopped to read. Condolences to his family. Lots of young reloaders and shooters will miss his wisdom.

i can't tell you how many times I've opened a thread to answer a question for someone, only to see that RCModel had been there already. Without even reading it I new the OP had gotten the best answer already...so I wouldn't even post once I saw his name.
It was sad to read about the reason he posted so much was that he was a full time caretaker for his wife but having had to do only about 4 years of that myself at at a much younger age (with lots of family support) it only makes me respect him more.

RC was always a gentleman and a scholar. It's funny to feel sadness for someone you've never met, but I feel a real sense of loss. RC was the wise elder statesman of THR and we will all be the better for having known him.

I'm so very sad for his family and especially his wife.

Thank you for updating us here on THR. So sad to hear of RC's passing. He was a great source for information. Even in my short term as a reloader, RC has given me nuggets of wisdom that I will carry on.

RIP RC.

I've always imagined 'rcmodel' being the inspiration for the firearms expert in Stephen Hunter's 'Point Of Impact', with Levon Helms as the visual.

I've emailed sections of several of posts, with credits to him, to friends looking for info. Quite a resource.

Know it has to happen, but he will be missed.

I admired him, too.

I hope his family can understand his impact on all of us while they mourn his passing.

Godspeed, sir.

Condolences and prayers for his family, friends and loved ones. Rest in peace.
