Which powder for 129 grain Hornady bullets for a 6.5x55 Tikka?

Other choices besides those two..........

Any loads working for you all with this bullet? Or recommendations?

Either will work fine. I have used RL22, N160, and H4350 with 139-142gr bullets in 1000 yard competition with the 6.5x55, and can recommend them.

Rel-19 might be a better choice with the lighter bullets as far as velocity is concerned, especially if you have the 22.5" barrel length. There are several good powders that will give good velocity and accuracy from a modern action.

H4350

Of the two powders listed, I plan on trying Re19 next for loads with 130 Nosler Accubonds. I'm currently having great success with H4350 and the Accubonds in a Tikka T3, with groups hovering between .5" and .75".

A max load of R22 with the 129gr SP gives me ~2900 fps and sub MOA from my 24" BBL 6.5x55.

Joe,

What gun are you shooting?

USSR,

Have you shot anything lighter than 139 out of your swede?
