RMR discount code

Hey, I have a request. Can we please not PM the code to anyone who has fewer than 20 posts? The problem with this thread is that it is now searchable and anyone can now get a code anytime they want if they just do a google search for "RMR discount code" and join the forum and ask for the code. The idea was to reward those of you who participate and add to THR. If you look through the posts there are a few who joined just to get the code and haven't posted since. I would rather the coupon code wasn't searchable on Google for just everyone. I like that people want to join the forum, but since the covid panic buying started I've been getting a ton of people using the code but I cannot find their username on THR. Not sure how they are getting it, but it adds up to thousands of dollars in discounts we're giving to people that don't ever intend to contribute to THR. My guess is that one of the "new" members has shared it online somewhere.

I second Jake's request to limit access to the discount code...I'd even understand if you suspended the discount while you're swamped.

As the "code appears to have become widely known, perhaps it is time to change the code for members. I'd also offer for consideration a higher post count to qualify for the code.

I agree.

The THR discount offered by RMR is from Jake's generosity to us.

We appreciate the continued generosity and will follow whatever stipulation Jake wants applied.

I would put the post count higher and undisclosed.
Jake, let us know if you want post count higher than 20 and/or undisclosed.

Walkalong, do you think 50 is more appropriate?

Not a bad idea.

Jake, you can PM us the new code and we can distribute the code to participating THR members.

No new code from Jake ... I think they are probably quite busy.

If/when Jake decides on a new code, I am sure he will let us know.

I don't share it with anyone who does not appear to be an active member, someone who has multiple posts, I don't have a set number,
but 2 posts won't do it, where say 239 would......
Jake is doing us all a favor so we need to respect his wishes.

Jake, please let us know if you want to create a new code.
Thanks again for giving us the code.

Same here. About a month ago when everyone kept asking for the code I picked maybe 3 guys who had been on here awhile and had alot of posts and ignored the others.

I think we can keep the same code. But if you guys think the post count should be 50 or so I am okay with that. I'm also okay with sending the code to people who have been lurkers for years. Like say they only have 20 or so posts, but they have been members for over a year or so. I have to go back and try to erase any google searchable codes. I was informed that if you're good enough at google you can find the code without asking anyone.

Will do and thanks again Jake for continuing to offer the 5% THR discount for us.

Any update on the increased 9mm bullet production process?

Yes, our biggest limiting factor right now is that our 4 lead core machines cannot keep up with the 7 bullet machines. Especially now that one assembly machine can make 260 bullets a minute. Our lead core machines can only do 200-215 a minute. I recently purchased two more core machines but we have to tool them up to make our core before we can run them. I also have to buy a couple of shipping containers because we can't fit all of the lead and copper and additional machines in the shop anymore.

Sounds like you are having the "right" kind of growing pains problems. :D

I tell you, I for one is glad you decided to start making bullets as we now have an independent manufacturer who can meet our bullet supply needs.

Match grade bullets at bulk bullet pricing ... no complaints here.

There are worst problems to have than having your business outgrow your capacity :D

I've been telling locals, that I've recruited as customers, to place orders as needed and rest assured that they would be filled...and that they'll be more than happy with the product. (They don't get the code as you need the money more than they do)

Glad business is good for you!
