Woman Flashes Grenade On Central Expressway
Dec 22, 2005, 10:27 AM CST
Now to an apparent case of road rage in North Texas. A woman named Kimberly al Homsi allegedly flashed a grenade at another driver along Central Expressway in Richardson.
Officers caught up with her at school, where she was picking up her daughter.
A bomb squad swarmed in and found a handgun, a shotgun and more.
"We took her down, and as a pat down, we found a 45 magazine that was loaded on her person. We saw inside the vehicle what appeared to be a couple of hand grenades," Sgt. Kevin Perlich with the Richardson Police Department said.
The grenades were real but luckily inoperable.
Although the weapons and rounds are not illegal, police charged the woman with having a hoax bomb: a misdemeanor.
