Woman Flashes Grenade On Central Expressway
Dec 22, 2005, 10:27 AM CST

Now to an apparent case of road rage in North Texas. A woman named Kimberly al Homsi allegedly flashed a grenade at another driver along Central Expressway in Richardson.

Officers caught up with her at school, where she was picking up her daughter.

A bomb squad swarmed in and found a handgun, a shotgun and more.

"We took her down, and as a pat down, we found a 45 magazine that was loaded on her person. We saw inside the vehicle what appeared to be a couple of hand grenades," Sgt. Kevin Perlich with the Richardson Police Department said.

The grenades were real but luckily inoperable.

Although the weapons and rounds are not illegal, police charged the woman with having a hoax bomb: a misdemeanor.

Seems like they should think of more charges for that idiot lady. Hmm, menacing, reckless endagerment, harassment...sure all misdemeanors, but pile 'em on.

So showing someone a hand grenade is illegal?

If she had taken out the pin and mimed throwing at the other person I could see an assualt charge.

What if she had just shown the other person a picture of a hand grenade?

It's the context. What if she had shown the other driver a gun? Brandishing and possibly assault with a DW depending on the wording of the laws in the area. I would think displaying a hand grenade as a threat to another driver would get at least the same response from the police as displaying a gun if not more. A picture is way different and silly. A picture can't blow your ear drums with concussion, rip your body with fragments and start your car on fire.

What if the other driver stomped on the brakes and/or swerved causing a fatal accident? Now we have manslaughter or perhaps murder 2 charges.

Geez, they sell DeWatted Pineappple Nades at several shops here in town, most Family owned Shops have those Complaints Dept plaque Mounted Nades in them, wonder what those moron cops would do here....:uhoh: :scrutiny:

With a name like that, and people seeing terrorists behind every shadow, I think I'd be a lot more careful doing dumb ???? like that.
