DUBLIN, Ohio — Police and the FBI said that they were searching for a man who dropped his gun into several pieces during a Wednesday robbery.

According to investigators, a man wearing black clothing, a red bandanna and who was waving a gun burst into the First Merit Bank, located at 7490 Sawmill Rd.

Police said that the robber immediately yelled for everyone to get down on the ground.

As he vigorously waved the gun, the weapon fell to the floor and broke into several pieces.

According to the FBI, the robber kept yelling at everyone to stay down as he picked the pieces off the ground and put the gun back together again.

Once recomposed, police said that the robber jumped over the teller counter and ordered employees to give him money. The employees complied, opened their drawers and stepped back as the robber took the money, including a dye-pack, and placed it into his bag.

The robber jumped back over the counter and ran away from the bank, police said.

He is described as black, in his 30s, and is 6 feet 1 inch tall with a medium build.

The robbery was the 36th robbery of the year in the Columbus area, compared to 32 at this time last year, according to the FBI.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Columbus Police Robbery Squad at 614-645-4665 or the FBI at 614-744-2168.

Want to start a pool as to what it was? I'm going with a Davis, Lorcin, Bryco, Jennings, or Lindsey.

And why didn't someone beat the snot out of this dumb SOB while he was trying to pick his piece of or should I say pieces of Jennings off the floor.

One more instance to point to the effectiveness of gun control. Nobody in the bank was carrying. What a perfect time to take action, when the perp bends over to pick up the pieces of whatever he was waving around, put a .45 in his butt. Since no one was apparently carrying, though, just give him the money and let him go on his way.

Obviously, if Ohio had stricter gun control laws, he wouldn't have had whatever piece of crap he was calling a gun to begin with.... :barf:

I'd die laughing rather than give him any money. Is it a good shoot when the bad guy's gun is on the floor in pieces?

the gun disassembling itself presented a good opportunity to run up and kick the guy in the face. What was he gonna do aside from maybe hit you back, then run once he realized that his plan had gone to crap?

Seems like there are alot more spineless victims and clerks than what Wildest Police Videos led me to believe.

Shooting or kicking a man while he's down...

...and unarmed...

... for shame.

I would have been carrying, but even if I hadn't been he wouldn't have gotten off the ground under his own power.

It appears that the sheep don't even try to run away even when the wolf if trying to put his dentures back in.

Wow! "Could ya'll just please stay down while I put my POS back together? Thanks" LOL Seriously whats wrong with todays society?

Let's look at the lineup of suspects.
