I have seen this video before and though I found it to be interesting I never put much thought into it.
Viewing it today gave me a different perspective. The employee, gunman and the proceeding gun battle put the customer and her baby and other employee in a bad position. The employee with the gun was firing very close to the woman and her baby. I am actually surprised that not one of them flinched when the shots were fired. I have fired firearms inside closed spaces without hearing protection and I can tell you I still flinch a even when I know it's coming.
Frankly, if my wife and daughter were the customers involved in the video I would be upset that the employee did what he did. He not only jeopardize his own life but the lives of those around him. From the video you can see the gunman got a shot or two off as he was running out the door. The gun was just pointed in the general direction of the employee. One inch the wrong way and the could have been two dead customers. Wouldn't it have been better to just give the gunman what he wanted? After all, you can replace money and property but you can't replace human life.
