I have an opportunity to pick up one of these way below MSRP and after some searching I was wondering if there are any XCR owners out there who can speak to their observed pros or cons?

I like the adjustable gas system, being able to swap barrels, and the left side charging handle.

I don't own one, nor have I ever handled one, but I've heard great things from owners and they look mighty nice. One problem- the guy who runs the company has a.... unique... approach to customer service.... He decides how fast he'll handle a problem based on how polite the person is and whether or not they publicly complain about it, in which case he goes out of his way to make their service take the absolute longest possible.

The rifles are good. To me it looks like a mash up of ideas from the FAL, AR, and AK all in one rifle. They look neat and seem to run well. But as Turtle said there are some rather public examples of the owner flipping out on customers on forums. Do some digging on here, I know there is a thread.

The charging handle is a FAL charging handle, or was designed directly from one.

Edit:
Found it though it is 10 years old at this point. I would really hope things have changed in the last 10 years.
