Sister gun of the STI Spartan. From what I've heard, they're almost identical except for the STI internals (fire control parts).

I have a Spartan, it is the most accurate gun I've fired. If the RIA Match is fitted as well and has a barrel of comparable quality, it should be a great shooter.

The next RIA I want is either the 9mm 1911 or the Match "Longslide" 6" barrel and slide model.

Anyone else care to chime in with their own little review? how are they compared to a tactical. is it worth the money?

Good question. Since the Match models are so much more money than a Tac, I'd be tempted to get a Tac and modify it into a Match clone by changing the sights. But I don't know, might need a barrel and bushing too.

actually it differs a lot. its like this the GI, Tactical, Match wow is the match a good pistol and it differs alot from a tactical in many ways when you research... Lots of gun for the money, if you thought the tactical was a good deal check out the match!

here are some things for you to see. Match grade SS chrome lined barrel rather than a carbon barrel.Like Bomar Sights, Dovetail, also don't know whats it called but when they cut more lower where the cartridge ejects. it is hand fitted frame and slide. built the same as an STI spartan, it is actually almost an STI spartan minus the internals. STI used frame and slide from RIA

some other things i may have forgotten but it a lot of gun for the money......

maybe some others might chime in... i really just came here to see what other think of them...

I would get its twin, the STI Spartan. From the prices I have seen the STI is cheaper and you benefit from the STI ignition system. Now if RIA lowered the price by $100 then I might go that route and put in the ignition system of my choice (if needed). Wish STI and RIA would use smaller roll marks. I hate the billboard advertisement.
